Lumberjacks support the logging of array elements and entire
array devices. T:EXMPL[3] logs the 4th element of the device
T:EXMPL. T:EXMPL[] logs the entire array.

Java data loggers accept a syntax with an array element range,
i.e. T:EXMPL[0:3] logs 4 vector elements.

An array device is defined as a device that returns an array of
readings, each being scaleable.
