Adding a Device (2)

Program: PA0758
<< Selecting Another Lumberjack Topic Writing a List To File >>

  To add a device, make sure the insert mode is ON and type the
  name of a device within one of the 60 device name slots and
  click. If the device is already being logged in any other
  lumberjacks, a menu of those loggers is displayed. After the
  user clicks outside the menu, a window asks whether the user
  really wants to add the device to this logger too. Valid
  logging-enabled devices are displayed in upper case and in
  green. Invalid or inactive devices are displayed in lower
  case and in red on blue. The change will not affect the
  datalogger until the list is written to file and Lumber-
  jack is reinitialized!!

D43 - LINUX

In order to add and save devices to a list you need a password. Having
 switched to Linux you need to setup this password as it is NOT the same
as your kerberos principal.

    * get a Linux command-line
    * run conpwd
    * follow instructions

You should now have a valid D43 password which should allow you to edit
and save devices to datalogger lists of your choice.
