This single width module is simply a set of twelve selectable "ON" commands and twelve selectable "OFF" commands. These commands are accomplished by an opto-isolator, GE 4N35. Each command type is a single pulse.
"ON" being N.O. or normally unsaturated with a 200mS saturated transistor pulse
"OFF" being N.C. or normally saturated transistor and a 200mS high impedance pulse.
Another feature is the last command function executed can be read from memory.
F(0)A(0) | Read command function register |
F(1)A(15) | Read module number |
F(6)A(0) | Read module number |
F(28)A(11..0) | Write OFF command |
F(30)A(11..0) | Write ON command |
R6 | R5 | R4 | R3 | R2 | R1 |
A(8) | A(4) | A(2) | A(1) | F(30) | F(28) |
Although the command functions result in a 200mS pulse, the command function register will hold last command entered, except if a power on occurs, in which case the register will be zeroed.
Subaddress lines A(0) through A(11) chose a particular set of "ON" and "OFF" commands to be used. (A set constituting one "ON" and one "OFF".) A set also consists of a common ground. There are twelve sets chosen by A(0) through A(11) and F(28) for "OFF" or F(30) for "ON".
For any valid command the module will return X. If the command can be executed, Q will also be returned. If, however, the module is busy (i.e. doing a 200mS pulse), then the command will be aborted and no Q will be returned.
