1 DESCRIPTION
The CAMAC 153 module is a four channel DAC - power supply
controller. The module has the unique capability of switching
between two groups of DAC settings. The times of switching
are determined by either an internally developed level
generated from the detection of certain TCLK events or by an
externally applied level. When this level is off - the
"Normal" condition, the DAC outputs reflect those settings
loaded by the CAMAC F(16) operations. When the level is on -
the "Switched" condition, the DAC outputs reflect those
settings loaded by the CAMAC F(18) operations. The PS ON/OFF
states are not affected by changes of the switching level.
The on-board AD565 DACs have 12 bits of resolution and are
wired for bipolar operation. The analog output ranges from
-10.240 to +10.235 volts with lsb valued at 5 mv. Each
channel is programmed in 2's complement code as a left
justified 12 bit word. Each channel has a buffered output
with separate offset and gain adjustments. The output buffer
amplifier is capable of driving 5ma at full scale output.
There is 100 ohms resistance in series with the front panel
and rear I/O analog output to isolate cable capacitance. All
settings are set to zero upon power up or module clear.
The module also provides four lines of ON/OFF control and
twelve bits of status monitor. The static ON/OFF control
lines are sourced by 74F3037 drivers. The status monitor
inputs are opto-coupled (HCPL-2631) with a separate common
cathode return for each group of three monitor inputs. All
digital inputs and outputs are positive logic.
This module, with the exception of two-state capability and
TCLK interface, is compatible with the CAMAC 053 module.

This command is a logical or with Z*S2 and
power up clear. A reset clears both Normal
and Switched settings for each DAC channel
to zero output, sets the internally derived
controlling level to Normal, and sets each
PS control line OFF.
