upcase(_c) DEPRECATED

	upcase(string.i1a.r [,nchar.i2.r])

	upcase_c(string.i1a.r [,nchar.i4.v])

This routine scans an ASCII character string, converting all lower
case characters to upper case. The scan will continue until an
ASCII null character is encountered, or until the optional
	character count 'nchar' is exhausted.

	string ASCII buffer to convert
[nchar] number of characters to convert
For upcase_c: nchar >= 0 will upcase first nchar chars,
therefore if nchar is 0 no chars will be upcased.
nchar < 0 will upcase characters until null character
is reached. The default value of nchar is -1, so
the string length will be computed.
