This is a block diagram of the Quadrupole transition damper used by Booster. The horizontal stripline at L20 is used as the beam pickup. The beam signal is mixed with the VCO (TTL). The mixed (IF) signal is then low passed filtered. The error signal is then fed to a multiplier card. The other input to the multiplier card comes from a 465 card located in crate 93. The 465 card allows control of the gain and the output polarity. The correction signal is then fed to a summing module. The summing module adds the correction signal to the anode program. The output of the summing module is then fed to the group A and B amplifiers.
