This single-width module serves a dual purpose. Up to 24 bits of status may be interfaced to the module via a 36 pin I/O card-edge connector. Up to 64 A/D channels may be addressed and read. This module may also be used for module to module transfers. A switch is provided to allow either positive or negative logic inputs. The C007 module is currently only used for status/BCD input.
A/D addressing is accomplished as shown below:
F(0)A(0) . . . F(0)A(15) | Digitize 1st 16 A/D channels |
F(1)A(0) . . . F(1)A(15) | Digitize A/D channels 16-31 |
F(2)A(0) . . . F(2)A(15) | Digitize A/D channels 32-47 |
F(3)A(0) . . . F(3)A(15) | Digitize A/D channels 48-63 |
A read operation always reads the digitized information from the previous read command
F(6)A(0) reads back the binary representation of the module number.
A LAM flip flop is provided which, when enabled, may be set by a negative-going transition of an external input, by a command, or by a front panel switch. The LAM is cleared by a read, clear, or initialize operation.
Module to module transfer is accomplished as follows. Any module wishing to be read (e.g. 016, 017) sets the 007 LAM. When software detects the LAM, a read operation takes place clearing the LAM. At S2 of the read dataway cycle, a 2 microsecond "ACKNOWLEDGE" pulse is generated. This pulse might be used to set the other modules' LAM.
F(0)A(X) | Reads 24 inputs bits, clears LAM, digitizes A/D data at S2 |
F(1)A(X) | Reads 24 inputs bits, clears LAM, digitizes A/D data at S2 |
F(2)A(X) | Reads 24 inputs bits, clears LAM, digitizes A/D data at S2 |
F(3)A(X) | Reads 24 inputs bits, clears LAM, digitizes A/D data at S2 |
F(6)A(0) | Reads module number |
F(8)A(0) | Returns Q if LAM is set |
F(10)A(0) | Clears LAM |
F(14)A(0) | Sets LAM |
F(24)A(0) | Disables setting of the LAM flip flop |
F(26)A(0) | Enables setting of the LAM flip flop |
F(27)A(0) | Generates a 2uS "TEST STATUS" signal |
The following lights and switches are provided on the front panel
Module Select Light | Flashed whenever module is addressed |
LAM Enable Light | On whenever LAM is enabled |
LAM Light | On whenever a LAM request is pending |
LAM Switch | Sets the LAM if LAM is enabled |
