CAMAC 176/276 Module

TCLK/BSCLK TRANSMITTER MODULE

TABLE OF CONTENTS

DESCRIPTION

The CAMAC 176/276 is a single wide module which receives requests for clock events from a 175 module and encodes them onto a clock stream. The module has a test mode in which it generates a selected event at a selected rate as well as a "compare" register which will set a status bit if the selected event occurs.

CAMAC FUNCTION CODES

F0A0
READ EVENT TO BE DECODED
This module can detect one event and reflect that occurrence in the status register and on the front panel.

F1A0
READ STATUS REGISTER
R8R7R6R5R4R3R2R1
XMTTSTSECLKXXSELCLKL

XMT
Indicates activity on the clock.
TST
Indicates that the module is in the test mode.
SE
Indicates that selected event has occurred.
CLK
Indicates the presence or lack of RAW CLOCK.
SEL
Latched occurrence of selected event.
CLKL
Latches when RAW CLOCK is not present.

F6A0
READ MODULE NUMBER 176 OR 276

F9A0
DISABLE TEST MODE. CLEAR STATUS REGISTER
This does the same thing as a power on reset.

F12A0
CLEAR BIT TWO (SEL) IN STATUS REGISTER.

F12A1
CLEAR BIT ONE (CLKL) IN STATUS REGISTER.

F16A0
WRITE EVENT TO BE DETECTED

F16A1
WRITE RATE FOR TEST EVENT GENERATOR
Test event trigger can be scaled from 50 kHz to 195 Hz.

F16A2
WRITE TEST EVENT TYPE
This event and only this event is sent out on the clock when the module is in the test mode.

F28A0
ENABLE TEST MODE

F30A0
DISABLE TEST MODE
In the test mode the data form the CAMAC 175 module is not listened to. A test event which has been previously written by a F16A2 command will be sent out over the clock.
