All Versions:
The 287 module is a 279 module that has been modified to accept TCLK instead of a Beam Sync Clock as a primary input. The only hardware difference is different timing components on the 96S02 at IC location #25. PALs associated with the 279 module may often be used with implemented versions of the 287. Specifically: PALs 27905A.DAT and 27912A.DAT are common. PAL 27921A.DAT is also ex- pected to be common for nearly all versions of the 287, exception to which will be specifically noted. This PAL causes both channels of the 287 to be enabled upon power-up or module clear. The pro- grammable enable/disable feature is maintained. The four remaining PAL source files (28736x.DAT, 28737x.DAT, 28741x.DAT, and 28742x.DAT) are generally unique to each implemented version.
Version 1.0 TEST
This version of the 287 module is the form to which all con- structed modules are initially configured. The associated PALs are specifically programmed to accommodate manual and computer testing.
