Instructions for installing software for running Acceelerator Controls programs on your home PC or other PC not managed by the Accelerator Division. These installers will work on 64-bit versions of Windows 11 or Windows 10. Install the programs in the order listed. You may need to temporarily disable your PC's real-time anti-virus protection to be able to run the Cygwin X and Customizations installers.
Install MIT Kerberos for Windows 3.2. (If V4.* is installed, uninstall it first.)
Download and install both the 64-bit and 32-bit versions https://www-bd.fnal.gov/controls/installers/kfw-amd64-3_2_2_5-fermi.msi
and https://www-bd.fnal.gov/controls/installers/kfw-i386-3_2_2_5-fermi.msi
If you want to transfer control system files to/from your PC, you can also download and install WinSCP, available at: https://winscp.net/eng/docs/introduction
At this point, you should have "Accelerator Controls", "Cygwin-X", "Kerberos for Windows", and "PuTTY" menus in Windows "Start".
