build_menu_text

	max_length.i4.v = build_menu_text(items.i1pa.r, menu_items.i1p.r, 
					  num_items.i4.v)

	This routine converts text from an array of character pointers
	to a character array suitable for use as menu items.

	items		input text to convert; array of pointers to
			null-terminated text strings
	menu_items	returned address of text for use in menu
			(It remains in memory until the next call to
			 this function.)
	num_items	number of items (number of elements in array)

	This function returns status values as follows:

	0			build failed
	otherwise		maximum length of items
