fndchr(_c)

	position.i4.v = fndchr(string.i1a.r, char.i1.r [,length.i4.r])

	position.i4.v = fndchr_c(string.i1a.r, char.i1.v [,length.i4.v])

	This routine will return the position of the first occurrence
	character "char" in "string". If "length" is specified and is
	greater than zero, only "length" characters will be checked. A
	value of FALSE is returned if the character is not found.
	(Note: This is an archaic entry point. It has been replaced by
	str_find_character_c.)

	string		string to search
	char		character to find
	[length]	length of string to search (default is zero which
			will result in a search up to a null terminator)

	This function returns status values as follows:

	FALSE			character not found
	otherwise position of character (starting at 1)
